Esme Shaller and Kew Lee will be co-facilitating an orientation/workshop for new clinician-educator faculty, although all Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty and staff clinicians are welcome to attend!

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Name the factors that are critical to creating a positive learning climate
  • Write effective learning objectives
  • Discuss and apply teaching strategies to mitigate the effects of stereotype threat on one’s learners
  • Utilize a framework for giving effective feedback
  • Utilize the “one minute preceptor” model for clinical precepting
  • Describe additional resources for learning and growing as a faculty member in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

Light breakfast refreshments will be provided.  Attendance is limited to 40 people, so register today!
