Learning objectives for Dr. Mikhail's presentation:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:   

  • Be able to describe three underlying factors contributing to disparities in care for youth with eating disorders
  • Understand barriers to eating disorder mental health care for youth in publicly funded settings and potential strategies to address these barriers
  • Understand factors that can improve outcomes and reduce hospitalizations among publicly insured youth with eating disorders

Learning objectives for Dr. Singh's presentation:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:   

  • Be able to identify at least one adolescent and one parent behavior that predicts early response to family-based treatment (FBT) 
  • Be able to identify at least one mealtime behavior that predicts FBT outcomes among responders 
  • Be able to identify change in at least one mealtime behavior that predicts FBT outcomes among nonresponders 
  • Be able to identify at least one dyad that predicts early response to FBT
