Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • List three factors that contributed to the ascendency of the profit-driven American healthcare system
  • List three ways the U.S. healthcare system is inferior to that of other advanced nations
  • List four ways those with psychiatric illness receive inferior care to those with physical illness
  • List three ways clinicians can modify their approach to clinical care to improve the effectiveness of psychiatric treatment in the U.S.
