Unintentional Fentanyl Use: Prevalence, Pathways, and Prevention

Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Describe the contribution of unintentional fentanyl use to opioid overdose and observed racial disparities in this phenomenon in San Francisco
• Describe at least two pathways to unintentional fentanyl use and how they are shaped by the sociopolitical environment
• Name at least two potential interventions for preventing unintentional fentanyl overdose among people who use stimulants
