Mitochondrial Psychobiology and Brain Energetics

Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand mitochondria as a processor and signal transduction organelle
  • Define a sequence of hormonal and molecular events linking subjective experiences and mitochondria
  • Establish the biological link between energetic tradeoffs and aging


This presentation is part of our Distinguished Visiting Lecturer Series (DVLS), a group of special Grand Rounds talks given by preeminent subject matter experts in mental health and other related fields.
