We are excited to plan the 2024 UCSF Center for Health and Community Grant Review session! We meet as a cross disciplinary group to constructively review our junior colleague’s K awards and R01's.  Everyone learns a lot from each other from each meeting, and we hope you will join the group! This event will be hybrid; Participants are encouraged to attend at the Pritzker Building, Room TBD, but can also participate via Zoom (link will be sent prior to Jan. 18th). 
 
Grant writers! If you plan to submit an R01 or a K award for the February deadline and would like to be included in the review, please send Elissa Epel (Elissa.Epel@ucsf.edu) and Dina Freij (Dina.Freij@ucsf.edu ) an e-mail with the topic, grant type, and if available, abstract. That helps Elissa and Dina  find the best fitting reviewers from UCSF.  
 
Join the review!  All level researchers and trainees are invited to join our meeting as a review member. Your job is to just show up, read the grant and/or aims beforehand if you wish (will be emailed to you a week before),  listen to the reviewer’s points, and chime in about your own advice during the discussion.  Serving as a grant reviewer can be added to your cv as well! This is a fantastic meeting to encourage your trainees to attend.
