Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define social justice, the social determinants of mental health, and mental health inequities
  • Consider how social injustice contributes to mental health inequities
  • Examine the role of social injustice on the field of mental health


UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Grand Rounds presentations are for educational purposes and intended only for behavioral/mental health professionals and clinical providers.

Continuing education (CE) credit is available for physicians, psychologists, nurses, and therapists who participate in this activity.

In-person attendance will be available on a limited basis for this presentation in accordance with current UCSF and SFDPH requirements. Please note the following:
