Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify broad trends in medical student education, which include issues of:
    • Research and discovery
    • Leadership and entrepreneurship
    • Diversity, equity, and inclusion in both the curriculum and the makeup of the student body
    • Mental health and wellness
  • Compare and contrast how two prominent universities (Stanford and UCSF) are addressing these issues

UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Grand Rounds presentations are for educational purposes and intended only for behavioral/mental health professionals and clinical providers.

Continuing education (CE) credit is available for physicians, psychologists, nurses, and therapists who participate in this activity.

In-person attendance will be available on a limited basis for this presentation in accordance with current UCSF and SFDPH requirements. Please note the following:

  • On-site attendance is restricted to UCSF faculty, staff, and trainees.
  • In-person attendees must be in compliance with all UCSF COVID-related requirements and adhere to current safety policies, including the UC vaccination policy and masking guidelines for UCSF Health facilities.
  • To facilitate potential contact tracing, in-person attendees must register in advance . Walk-ins will not be accepted on the day of the event.
