Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Have familiarity with the concept of historical trauma and understand how historical trauma may affect engagement with service providers
  • Describe the concept of "ghosts in society"
  • Describe a visual model that incorporates a focus on adverse childhood experiences, adverse community experiences, and atrocious cultural experiences
  • Have familiarity with at least three visual frameworks that they can use to integrate a diversity and equity-informed approach into their clinical practice
