Irritable Youth: A Closer Look at DMDD

Learning objectives:
At the end of this presentation, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the origins of the disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD) diagnosis
  • Critically differentiate DMDD from other psychiatric diagnoses
  • Understand assessment options for DMDD
  • Formulate a treatment plan for management of DMDD that includes both pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions
