By attending this presentation, learners will:

  • Learn to deliver culturally competent care, keeping in mind the effects of racism on mental health
  • Understand what racial trauma is and how it manifests
  • Understand diagnostic implications of racial trauma
  • Become familiar with assessment tools and strategies for evaluation of racial trauma
  • Become familiar with interventions for addressing the effects of racism
  • Learn ways of engaging in anti-racist health care delivery on both a clinical and systemic level
