PRESENTATION:
Targeting the Glycocalyx for Cancer Immune Therapy

Altered cell surface glycosylation patterns are a hallmark of cancer. Recent work points toward a role for certain cancer glyco-phenotypes in immune evasion, particularly via engagement of the Siglec family of immune checkpoint receptors. This talk will summarize our recent work toward understanding the contribution of the Siglec-sialoglycan axis in cancer immune evasion and new therapeutic strategies based on this knowledge.
