The UCSF-UC Berkeley Schwab Dyslexia and Cognitive Diversity Center will host a Spring Symposia to present innovative basic and applied research, policy, and practice on the topics of dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. We will also be announcing our 2021 awardees of the Schwab Innovation Funds.

Our plenary speaker will be Linda Darling-Hammond, EdD, Charles E. Ducommun Professor of Education Emeritus at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, and the President and CEO of the Learning Policy Institute.

  • Risk and Resilience Amongst Students with Dyslexia: Sarah Manchanda
  • Research in Psychological and Cognitive Factors Associated with Reading Difficulty: Dr. Robert Hendren, Dr. Stephen Bent, & Bushra Hossain
  • Experiences of Distance Learning for Students in Special Education: Isabella Brown & G. Lewis Woods
