The students have spoken and hundreds voted for David Wofsy, MD to deliver the eighth annual Last Lecture.  Dr. Wofsy received his undergraduate degree from Harvard (1968), his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego (1974), and his medical residency training and rheumatology fellowship training from the University of California, San Francisco. He joined the UCSF faculty in 1980. He is currently Professor of Medicine and Microbiology/Immunology at UCSF. Dr. Wofsy also serves as Associate Dean for Admissions for the UCSF School of Medicine. He has served on numerous NIH study sections, and on the Arthritis Advisory Committee of the Food and Drug Administration. During his tenure as Associate Dean, the School of Medicine has consistently had one of the most, if not the most diverse, student bodies in the country. His leadership on behalf of student scholarships has contributed to an average annual growth rate of ~10%/year in scholarship funds during the past decade.

Sponsored by the Graduate & Professional Student Association,
Student Life, and the Alumni Association.
