Exploring Cognitive Decline and Related Concerns for LGBTQ+ Older Adults

Dr. Jason Flatt is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing, Institute for Health & Aging. He is funded by the National Institute on Aging to explore dementia risk and related risk factors among LGBTQ+ populations.
Dr. Flatt will present his findings on higher rates of cognitive decline among LGBTQ+ adults utilizing data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System’s Healthy Brain Initiative and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity modules.
