About this Event
The symposium provides an opportunity for members of the department to showcase their research and provides a forum for exchange of ideas and identification of possible collaborations. It covers the areas of CT, MR, PET, PET/MR, SPECT, MEG, EEG, artificial intelligence, optical imaging, ultrasound, medical informatics, and contrast agent development. We encourage the presentation of work in all areas of radiology and biomedical imaging – including both clinical studies and technical development – from all faculty, research staff, residents, fellows, post-docs and students.
Participation in the symposium has increased significantly since its inception in 2004. Increased participation has made the symposium a successful and stimulating event, but precludes the acceptance of all submitted abstracts. The symposium committee asks that each first author submit a maximum of one abstract, and that research groups avoid significant content overlap in multiple abstracts. All within the UCSF and the scientific communities are encouraged to attend.
