University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

The Academic Senate celebrates John Fahy, MD, Professor of the Department of Medicine and director of the UCSF Airway Clinical Research Center and the Michael Stulbarg Chair in Pulmonary Medicine as the recipient of the tenth annual Faculty Research Lecture in Translational Science.

The lecture is titled: A Physician in Lung Science - Opportunity to Help Personalize Treatment for Asthma. The event will occur on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.

A pioneer investigator in demonstrating the utility of molecular phenotyping as a way to identify a subset of patients likely to respond to widely applied therapies, his research has been a model of modern approaches to Translational Biology – always beginning with patients but utilizing all of the tools of cell and molecular biology to gain mechanistic insights into disease.
