  • Provide an overview of the most common California Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) psychiatric holds and the role of the physician/provider
  • Understand the 5270 hold and its relationship in the continuum of care and involuntary commitment
  • Describe common problems, challenges, and best solutions related to holds and hearings - the roles of the MD, police department, and hearing officer
