Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week program that introduces you to mindfulness practice in the form of sitting meditation, body awareness and mindful movement, modeled by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD.
In October of 2015, the British government published a promising report on mindfulness. Earlier that year, Mindful magazine published an article about this initiative, UK on the Fast Track to Becoming a Mindful Nation.
The MBSR program at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine includes a free information session and a 30-minute private interview with the instructor before the first class. Attending an informational session is strongly encouraged. Each class also includes one all-day session on a Saturday or Sunday.
