CTSI at UCSF - 6th Annual Retreat

Accelerating Research to Improve Health:
The Future of CTSI at UCSF

You’re invited to join CTSI for this annual event highlighting CTSI’s progress and future plans. This year’s retreat will focus on CTSI’s evolution toward greater independence. Although funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and initially based on its vision, we have an opportunity to craft the Institute’s future priorities in a way that maximally supports the strategic plans of UCSF and its partners. A major focus will be to develop a sustainable organization, supported through diverse income sources and strategic partnerships. As a result, this year’s retreat will focus on a vision for CTSI’s future and the steps necessary to transform our business model. Rapid-fire program presentations, a panel of external experts, and conversations with University leadership will anchor the program.

The agenda will include:

- Insights and perspectives from CTSI and UCSF leaders, and an opportunity to add your voice to the discussion;
- A review of models CTSI programs are using for sustainability;
- A panel of experts from foundations and industry sharing thoughts on transforming business models and strategies for creating sustainable organizations;
- Small and large group discussions on approaches CTSI might explore to ensure sustainability;
- Reception following the day’s activities.
