This informative lecture will; review the pathogenisis of metabolic syndrome, compare and contrast the use of low calorie balanced diets vs ketogenic protein diets, cover indications and contraindications for the use of ketogenic diets, provide a basic understanding of how to safely and effectively structure a ketogenic diet with the specific goals of reducing body fat percentage while enhancing muscular sensitivity to insulin.
