  • Thursday, August 13, 2009
Description:

SPECIAL LECTURE

Pediatric transfusion medicine is a subspecialty of transfusion medicine with no existing formal training program and few specialists.

The development of a relevant pediatric transfusion medicine curriculum would serve to enhance the education and exposure to this subspecialty of trainees and other specialists who transfuse pediatric populations.

One model of the curriculum development process will be reviewed and MedEdPORTAL (Providing Online Resources To Advance Learning in Medical Education), a resource for curriculum dissemination, will be discussed.
