Description:

Joe Gray, PhD, will lead this briefing for breast cancer advocates and anyone who is interested in breast cancer research. Dr. Gray is leader of the Cancer Center’s Breast Oncology Program and the Bay Area Breast Cancer SPORE (NCI Specialized Program Of Research Excellence). He has recently been awarded a “Dream Team” grant from Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), and he will speak to attendees about research in developing personalized targeted therapies for breast cancer as well as about opportunities for research advocacy within the SPORE and SU2C projects. Joe Gray is also Professor of Laboratory Medicine at UCSF and Director of the Life Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley Nat’l Lab. Refreshments and reception will follow the meeting.
