| Description: | Please join us for the QB3/PIBS Cancer Club II meeting on Monday, June 15, 2009 from 6-8pm at Byers Hall Room 212, UCSF Mission Bay Campus. Speakers will be Mark Moasser, M.D. and Jo Chien, M.D. Topic: “Treating cancer by inactivation of HER2: Closing in on an elusive treatment hypothesis.” The QB3/PIBS Cancer Club is a highly participatory, interdisciplinary conference that serves as a meeting place for clinical investigators, disease-based and basic scientists. These meeting are intended to inform participants about challenges in specific types of cancer, and cutting edge science relevant to finding solutions to these complex problems. This first conference of 2009 coincides with the opening of the Mission Bay UCSF - Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Research Building. We look forward to the ongoing collaborative relationship between the UCSF - Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and QB3 (California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences). |
