  • Monday, June 15, 2009
Description:

Room 263. Matt Springer, Associate Professor of Medicine, will talk about precautions that can be taken to lessen the damage from an earthquake at home and work. His 1-hour presentation includes many photos of preparations in his own home and suggests measures ranging from simple to complex to prepare for the next temblor. This is an updated version of the presentation that was given last year, and is being given at multiple UCSF locations (see http://homepage.mac.com/matthewlspringer/earthquake/schedule.html for the current list of dates and times). Sponsored by the Office of Environmental Health & Safety. “We recruit people to come work with us in the Bay Area, so we should teach them how to live in the Bay Area.”
